Arcola Center Approved for Route 50

The Arcola Center, which has received support from residents and business owners along the Rt. 50 corridor ever since its inception, was approved Tuesday by the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors, the first large mixed-use development approved by the board since four incumbents lost their bid for reelection last month.

The Arcola Center is one of the biggest results of the Route 50 Task Force, which started in 2005 to determine the best way to revitalize the corridor.
