Buchanan Partners entered D.C.’s thriving urban redevelopment scene with its acquisition of a 5.5-acre site adjacent to intersection of Michigan Avenue and Irving Streets, NE. It is planned as a mixed-use, multi-phase project comprising hotel, residential, retail and possibly office uses. The first phase, a combined Marriott Residence Inn and Marriott Courtyard hotel, is expected to break ground in early 2019.
